We welcome you to participate in Quilt Expo — a joint venture of Wisconsin Public Television and Nancy Zieman Productions, Thursday, Sept. 6 – Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. Quilt Expo will be held in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
Each day, Quilt Expo offers dozens of educational opportunities for attendees. As a quilt teacher, we invite you to submit proposals for possible stage demonstrations, lectures, hands-on or Sit & Sew workshops to be offered during the three-day event. Proposal forms are due by Dec. 1, 2017.
The Quilt Expo selection team will review all proposals. Each proposal will be given the most careful consideration, but we cannot guarantee each proposal a time slot. Selection of classes will be made by April 1, 2018. You will be notified by mail regarding the status of your proposal.
Quilt Expo will pay teachers $199 for each one-hour lecture taught or $299 for each three-hour workshop taught.
Quilt Expo will provide one assistant per classroom to help with setup and assist during the class.
Audio Visual Equipment
Each lecture room will be equipped with microphone, demonstration tables (2), and electrical outlets. Quilt Expo will provide, upon request, slide projectors/screens. Teachers must provide their own laptop and projection equipment, and/or quilt hanging equipment if needed.
Selling of Books/Supplies in the Classrooms
Quilt Expo encourages each teacher to work in cooperation with a booth vendor to sell products.
Each quilt instructor will be given two complimentary general admission passes to the Quilt Expo.
